Extreme Whitewater Rafting event

Competitors vie for points all year during the Gorge Whitewater Series to take home the title of Grand-Mastuh Funk of Kayaking at this series-culminating event. Paddlers from all over the world go head to head for NBC cameras to secure a coveted position in the Extreme Race.

The big daddy of the kayaking events, experienced paddlers will challenge their skills on the twists and drops of the Upper White Salmon River. The two-section course includes 30' Big Brother Falls and several other Class V drops with a short break between sections. Once again, competitors make the pilgrimage to the Gorge to smile at the cameras and compete for "big cash money." Spectators are welcome at the BZ Corners take-out, but will not be allowed along the course.

Personnel will be positioned in strategic locations along the river to provide maximum safety for all.
